Charge Controller FLEXmax.

These charge controllers allow an efficient and safe recharging process in several stages that prolongs the life of the battery and ensures the maximum performance of a solar array. All charge controllers are designed to seamlessly integrate with other OutBack components and can be remotely monitored and configured (up to a maximum distance of 300 m [1,000 ft]) using the optional MATE system (version 4.0.4 or later) of OutBack Power Systems.

The MX60 and FM80 regulators use a continuous maximum power point tracking system (MPPT), which searches for the maximum power available in a solar array and uses it to recharge the batteries. Without this function, the solar array does not operate at the ideal operating voltage, and can only recharge at the level of the battery\'s own voltage. Each charge controller constantly tracks maximum operating power.
